The Montreal Metro is an underground transit system known for its blend of architecture and public art. Its stations feature murals, mosaics, and sculptures that reflect the city’s culture and history. This artistic integration transforms everyday commutes into an immersive cultural experience.
The project aimed to design a fresh, bold book that truly showcases the art of the Montreal Metro in a raw and authentic way.
Approach
My vision was to create an identity that feels both innovative and authentic, appealing to those who love bold layouts and the energy of Montreal’s Metro. Inspired by the STM’s underground, raw aesthetic, I designed a book that embraces imperfection and defies judgment.
Production
To represent the art in the Montreal Metro, I created a spacious layout that evokes a sense of exposure, blending chaos with calculation. The raw binding technique not only serves a practical purpose but also emphasizes the Metro's unrefined, imperfect character.
