A promotional design for Alexandra Streliski's new album, Neo-romance .
Alexandra Streliski’s album *Neo-Romance* is a blend of complexity and energy, exploring themes of heritage, acceptance, and identity. She is a Canadian neo-classical composer and pianist from Quebec, her music takes listeners through deep emotional landscapes.
The task was to develop promotional assets, including a poster and a vinyl packaging, all aimed at capturing the essence of Streliski's music and the intricate energy of the piano.
My intention was to craft an identity that feels both inviting and captivating, appealing to adults who appreciate classical music.
I was inspired by a deep dive into the artist’s sound to create a fresh take on classical music. By focusing on the piano and Streliski's unique style, I aimed to strike a balance between accessibility and excitement, capturing the essence of her music in a way that resonates with those seeking something fresh and innovative.
To represent the depth of Streliski's music, I created and digitized a watercolor illustration, showcasing layered complexity through a vibrant color palette.
The poster design balanced the intricate artwork with a bold mix of oversized typography, reflecting the structural qualities of the piano.
For the vinyl packaging, I maintained the same visual language, adding extra layers to reflect the multi-dimensional nature of the music and the artist's inner complexity. The sleek black-on-black sleeve, with a spot varnish for the album title, emphasized the timeless elegance of the piano.
